Mozella Perry Ademiluyi, Founder–
At the age of 18, I was fortunate to have been exposed to the 'power of thought' and from there was
drawn into a wonderful world of education in the area of personal development and empowerment. From
the results of this ongoing learning, Rising Sun Programs was born to share with others.
At heart, I am a social entrepreneur, called to give service to young people who so urgently are also
seeking their way ‘through’. I am an attorney by academic training and a member of the following Bars:
District of Columbia Court of Appeals, United States Court of International Trade and the Federal
Republic of Nigeria.

Charlene A. Day, PhD, Development Director, Advisory Board member–
I became fascinated about the field of public health and health education while working as a senior staffer
for a prominent member of Congress in the late 80’s.  It was also a time when, as a nation, we realized
that the majority of diseases experienced by people were directly related to their behaviors and thus
controllable.  Having had the opportunity to advise Members of Congress, Mayors and heads of national
organizations conducting health promotion and disease prevention programs, I knew that earning a
doctorate degree (PhD-University of Maryland, College Park) would enable me to help shape the
research agenda in public health.  I firmly believe that everyone can increase their health status and have
more positive outcomes with access to more information and services. This is achieved by increasing
skills and education about personal and family health enhancement.  Education and life sustaining
changes begin with our youth. We not only impact his or her immediate family, but generations to come.
In my opinion, Rising Sun Programs provides a wonderful opportunity to empower youth to learn how to
take control of their health at the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual and financial levels.

Chu Chu Onwuachi-Saunders, Advisory Board member–
